Job Description:

Job Summary: Material Follow-up Specialist responsible for tracking, processing, and auditing material shipments to ensure timely delivery to customers.

This role is located at the Penske facility in Dearborn, MI, and requires a 5-day onsite workweek with the possibility of transitioning to a hybrid model. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of Transportation Management experience and strong analytical skills.

**Key Responsibilities:**

--- Monitor suppliers and follow up on parts to ensure shipment deadlines are met
--- Communicate and document critical information to internal associates and customers
--- Push suppliers for promise dates and quantities, and hold them accountable for meeting these deadlines
--- Ensure proper escalation when suppliers fail to meet ship dates
--- Partner with the team to communicate and drive performance standards
--- Identify areas for continuous improvement
--- Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor

**Qualifications:**

--- High School diploma or equivalent required
--- 1 year of Transportation Management experience preferred
--- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
--- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
--- Excellent communication and organizational skills
--- Advanced computer skills, including Excel and Outlook
--- Experience using office tools such as MS Office or Google Suite

**Physical Requirements:**

--- The associate will be required to read, communicate verbally and/or in written form, remember and analyze certain information, and remember and understand certain instructions or guidelines
--- The associate may be required to stand, walk, and sit, and to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms
--- The associate must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs/12kg
--- The associate will be required to drive to the Penske Dearborn facility and walk to their assigned workstation
--- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
